  2. Type ‘cmd’ without the single quotes in the Run dialog box and click OK.
  3. The Command Prompt window will now appear on the screen.
  4. Type the ‘chkdsk H: /f/r/x’ command without including the quotes and press Enter.
  5. Note: Replace the letter H with the drive letter of the unallocated Seagate hard drive.

Diskpart Command

  1. Launch DiskPart and enter the following commands one by one.
  2. List volume.
  3. Select volume H.
  4. Delete volume.
  5. Delete volume override.
  6. Open the Disk Management window and then right-click the unallocated space of the Seagate hard drive.
  7. Now, you have to create a new partition and assign a new file system.
  8. Now you should be able to access the hard drive.
