  4. After that, tick the checkbox to accept the agreement policies and then click Submit Query.
  5. Download the firmware version you want and save it on the computer.

Step-3: Seagate Firmware Update

  1. Open the firmware update utility and then choose the preferred language from the drop-down list.
  2. When the Seagate firmware update welcome screen shows up, check the firmware version the utility supports and click Next.
  3. In case you did not back up the drive, proceed to back up the data on the drive and continue with the process.
